Welcome to my fundraising page!

 

I am so excited to participate in this wonderful fundraising event.  I am a sports enthusiast and have competed in a number of fitness races over the years, including marathons, half marathons and triathlons.  I have also tried just about every fitness class or activity out there and absolutely love exercise and being active.  I was introduced to Zyn22 about a year ago and am addicted to it!  So, when I heard about this fundraising event, I knew I had to join in the fun!

 

A little about me . . . I am a Fort Worth area native, born and raised in Azle, Texas.  I attended Baylor University, where I received a BBA in finance and real estate.  After a short-lived career as a banker, I decided to go to law school and received my degree from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law.  I am currently an attorney with the best firm in Fort Worth (in my humble opinion), Decker Jones, PC, where I practice in the areas of banking, construction and real estate.  I have also been married to my husband, Thom, for almost 15 years and have a truly amazing 9 year old son, Taggart.

 

Aside from enjoying Zyn22, I chose to participate in this fundraising event because I believe in the work of the Ronald McDonald House and the services this wonderful organization provides.  My husband and I have been fortunate that Tag has not experienced any major illnesses, something we do not take for granted, but we have seen the emotional and financial strain other families have experienced due to a child's illness.  The Ronald McDonald House provides help to these families in need and alleviates some of the burdens they face, allowing the families to focus on their child's wellness.  As a mom, I cannot think of a better cause or organization to support, and that is why I am participating in this exciting event!
