Welcome, and thank you, for visiting my fundraising page!
Originally from Houston, TX, I moved to Lubbock, TX in 1992 to attend Texas Tech University. My primary area of study was in Human Development and Family Studies. It was through this department that I was first introduced to the Ronald McDonald House, where I served as a practicum student for one full semester. Through my experience there, I recognized the importance of supporting families through their medical experiences. Once I graduated, in May of 1996, I moved to Fort Worth, TX, so I could be near my now husband of almost 18 years, Brian. I was hired as a Child Life Specialist at Cook Children’s Medical Center in January of 1999, where I served medically fragile kids and their families for 9 years, before becoming a full-time stay-at-home mom to my two beautiful daughters, Avery, age 11, and Finley, age 8.
It was in the fall of 2014, that I was introduced to Zyn22 by our good friend and owner of the company, Mark Page. Up to this time, I was very physically active through running, CrossFit, and the occasional DVD workouts. Never had I thought or even considered becoming a fitness instructor or trainer of any kind. Mark convinced me that Zyn22 was worth checking out. After experiencing my first Zyn class….I was COMPLETELY HOOKED!! Several months and extremely humbling training experiences later, I became an instructor!
Today, I am passionate about what I do at Zyn22. I believe so many of us don’t really get to experience our full physical potential because we think we don’t have enough time, or there is simply no motivation in getting our bodies to a healthier place. One of my goals as an instructor, is to change people’s view of themselves by getting a glimpse of their potential in every class they experience. Every day they choose to come, they are making the decision to get stronger, and I believe, this helps people not only see their strength change externally, but especially internally…the way they view themselves.
I am so excited about Fit Friyay and the opportunity to be a rider for Zynathon because it combines my heart for families of medically fragile children and my heart for helping people reach their true physical and emotional potential. I would greatly appreciate any donation to reach my goal of $500. All donations go directly to RMH of For Worth. Thank you for your generosity and hope to see you at Fit Friyay September 16th!
Fitfully Yours,
Jennifer Kieta
